GURU TV – The Guru Project Episode 2

Welcome to episode 2 of The Jeff Passage Project. To get you updated on his progress this week, he is putting in the work and doing the drills and is now hitting straighter shots and we now have some pulls to the left, way to go Jeff. Here is his latest video and my response. Noone gets left behind. Best of luck and wish Jeff luck with his practice.

  1. Jeff, I have just watched the first Video where Guru uses software to compare your swing with Davis Love as well as point out your areas of opportunity for improvement. At Morepars, we focus very heavily on the scooping motion that you have here. Guru is on target in his explanation. Let me give you something else to look for that is not explicitly drawn in the side by side look of your swing. Watch your clubhead as compare to your left arm just after impact. It is not in a straight line with it or even close. There is a large angle of your clubhead and your left arm a couple of feet after impact. Guru mentions your wrist is “facing the sky” and has not rotated. The result is a clubhead not inline with your left arm. Look at Davis Love’s clubhead just after impact. It is more inline with his left arm. My Morepars advice: go to the MorePars blog, read the article on the Taly training aid, which talks about this swing flaw. Then go to the Taly site and watch the videos there. This should give you the reinforcement you need to understand that Guru is telling you the right thing. There is a reason the Dana Rader golf school is in the top 100. And more importantly, Guru has the MorePars seal of approval. You are very fortunate to get this online instruction and I am hoping I can get the same as you. If not, I will definitely pay for it because unlike some of the kooks on the Internet peddling swing analysis he is the real deal. He mentions you may go see him this summer and I agree 100% that is what you need to do. As much as I hope to help people in my MorePars Blog and as much as I watch GuruTV, I preach seeing a reputable Pro (like Guru) as the only real way to siginificantly improve. Good luck. 🙂

  3. Jason, this may be the $1 million lesson video. No one has EVER taught these swing basics like you have. You know I’ll work on these tips this week. I also plan I shooting some film using the Putting Arc for a later lesson video. Thanks a bunch. Look forward to meeting you in person in June.

  4. Jason and Jeff,

Thanks to both of you for your ongoing work with this project. I think it is going very well and I’m very eager to continue watching. Breaking 100 is such a large milestone and being able to do it from online instruction would be very impressive on both your parts.

    Good Luck to you both,

    John Graham
