Golf Guru Show – Dr. Tyler Standifird – Ground Reaction Forces

Whats up everybody, I’m back with another amazing interview and welcome to another episode of the golf guru show, I am your host, Jason Sutton and I am the Guru,  I am  also the director of instruction at the beautiful Colleton River club in Bluffton, SC where it is my mission to break down high performers in the teaching and coaching business and all fields of study, unpack and tease out what makes them great and successful from daily habits, their continuous growth journey,  to how they help and train with their students. Make sure that you download this episode and hit that purple subscribe button so you don’t miss out of future episodes that will be coming your way. All I ask is that you share this podcast on social or with your friends and with other coaches and players that might benefit from the information.  I am so excited for this one as My guest is Dr. Tyler Standifird. Dr. Standifird is a Golf biomechanics Professor at Utah Valley university. His journey in golf research and biomechanics started with consulting with companies like superspeed golf and now works for Smart2Move dual force plates which is our topic of discussion on this episode. Suppose you ever thought that measuring and studying Ground Reaction Forces was not important. In that case, I think that this conversation will definitley sway your opinion as we go deep into the forces and torques we create in the golf swing using the ground and how to measure them. Dr. Tyler gives a detailed description of each of the important parts of each with some drills and application to go along with it so we as coaches can help our players improve. This was such an insightful coversation that I thoroughly enjoyed and learned alot from. I encourage you to also check out the video version on my youtube channel for some extra visual references if it doesn’t come through in the audio. So lets get to my conversation with the brilliant and talented, Dr. Tyler Standifird…..enjoy!

Love ya’ll

Guru
